Debevoise & Plimpton LLP has advised its longstanding pro bono client Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter (NCS) in connection with its affiliation with the Institute for Community Living (ICL). As an affiliate, NCS will benefit from ICL’s expansive administrative platform and real estate development and clinical expertise. The partnership will bring operational and financial efficiencies, by reducing administrative costs, that will allow both organizations to deepen their impact and support more individuals and families across New York City. For more information, please see the press release.
Debevoise has supported NCS since its early development. NCS was founded in 1982 on Manhattan’s Upper East Side to help New Yorkers experiencing homelessness achieve independence. Former Debevoise partner Wolcott (“Dick”) Dunham was a founding member of NCS.
The Debevoise team was led by M&A partner Ezra Borut and included associates Rekha Korlipara Kreider and Anya Mansoor and executive compensation & benefits partner Jonathan Lewis and associate Louis Akra.
