Adam Saunders is an associate in the Litigation Department and a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Antitrust Practice Groups. Mr. Saunders has extensive experience handling complex commercial matters in federal and state courts, including antitrust, insurance, and securities class actions, contractual disputes, and trade secret litigation. 

In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Saunders advises clients in connection with merger clearance across a range of industries, including healthcare and life sciences, pharmaceuticals, insurance, financial products and services, telecommunications, packaging and consumer goods, and foodservice distribution. Mr. Saunders regularly represents clients before the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, and state attorneys general in civil and criminal investigations, and advises clients on antitrust risks, regulatory strategy, and compliance issues arising from mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, product development, artificial intelligence, and patent-related matters. 

Mr. Saunders also maintains an active pro bono practice that includes representation of indigent clients in family, housing, and immigration courts in New York and New Jersey.

Mr. Saunders is a member of the American Bar Association’s Antitrust and Litigation Sections and has served in leadership roles within the Antitrust Section, including as a Young Lawyer Representative and Vice Chair of the Section’s Legislation Committee.  He is also an active member of the New York State Bar Association’s Antitrust Section. 

Mr. Saunders joined Debevoise in 2017. He received his J.D. summa cum laude from Rutgers Law School in 2017, where he was a senior editor for the Rutgers University Law Review and selected to the Order of the Coif. Mr. Saunders received his B.S. with honors from the University of Maryland in 2012.
