Aisling Cowell is an associate in the Litigation Department based in the London office. She is a member of the firm’s White Collar & Regulatory Defense Group.

Ms. Cowell joined Debevoise as an associate in 2019, having previously practised at the Bar of England & Wales. She received an LL.B. from Durham University in 2016 and was awarded the Durham Award. Between 2016 and 2017, Ms. Cowell attended BPP Law School in London, where she completed her Bar Professional Training Course and was the recipient of the Excellence Award and the Advocacy Award.

Ms. Cowell was called to the Bar of England & Wales by Middle Temple in 2017 and as a barrister has rights of audience before all courts and tribunals in England & Wales. She received the Middle Temple Pupil Advocacy Prize in 2018. In self-employed practice, she both defended and prosecuted in a wide variety of criminal cases.
