Amaarah Mayet is an international associate in the Litigation Department. Ms. Mayet’s practice focuses on complex, high-value commercial litigation and dispute resolution.

She also has experience advising international financial institutions and multinational corporations in regulatory investigations and arbitration proceedings.

Ms. Mayet joined Debevoise in 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2017 and an LL.B, awarded with distinctions, from the same institution in 2019.

Prior to joining Debevoise, Ms. Mayet practiced as an associate at a leading international law firm and was seconded to a magic circle law firm in London in 2022.

Ms. Mayet is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. She is fluent in English and Afrikaans.
