Beatriz (“Bia”) Martins e Martins Oliveira is a law clerk in the Litigation Department.

Ms. Oliveira joined Debevoise in 2026. Ms. Oliveira received a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2026, where she was a Mediator with the Columbia Law School Mediation Clinic. She was a Regional Semi-Finalist and subsequently Coach of the European Law Moot. Ms. Oliveira externed at the NYS OAG Law Enforcement Misconduct Investigation and Oversight office, at the Exoneration Project, and at the Permanent Mission of Portugal to the United Nations. She was engaged in pro bono services with Manhattan Courtwatch, the Parole Advocacy Project, and the Sanctuary for Families Domestic Violence Project. She did research for the CLS Human Rights Association and Rerooted. Ms. Oliveira also spent a semester at FGV Rio de Janeiro, Brazil studying Brazilian law in 2025.

She received a dual Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude from Columbia University and Sciences Po Paris in 2022.

She is a native Portuguese speaker and is fluent in French, Spanish, Italian, and German.
