Debevoise’s European Finance Team Draws on Broad Experience to Provide Innovative Solutions

The firm’s finance team in Europe has particular experience advising private equity sponsors. This includes advising on leveraged financings as well as advising portfolio companies on their ongoing financing requirements.  The team advises on all types of leveraged debt structures, including TLB, second lien financings, holdco PIK debt and bond issuances.  It also has deep experience advising debt funds in connection with their debt financings and advising all types of fund sponsors on fund level financing (subscription lines, NAV lines, management financings).

The team is renowned for working with clients on some of the market’s most complicated transactions and, over the years, has worked closely with colleagues in New York to introduce innovations that have become market norms in Europe and the U.S. This experience gives it an intricate working knowledge of the latest deal technologies and terms, and the ability to create new solutions for clients.

Debevoise’s European Finance practice includes senior lawyers qualified in English, French, German, and New York law. It is ideally placed to advise clients on distinctly European matters, as well as on transactions structured to be syndicated in whole or in part in the U.S. market under New York law. It also works closely with the Debevoise securities team to provide advice on high-yield financings, Eurobonds, and other debt capital markets transactions.
