The Debevoise Liability Management & Special Situations practice brings together transactional, restructuring and litigation lawyers to help companies and boards, sponsors, creditors, investors and other market participants address complex capital structure and liquidity challenges and pursue opportunities in stressed, distressed and event-driven situations. We advise across the full spectrum of liability management and special situations matters, including liability management exercises and recapitalizations; bespoke credit, equity and other structured investments; rescue, bridge and other complex financings; distressed M&A and strategic transactions; corporate governance matters; and in- and out-of-court restructurings. Our practice also encompasses the acquisition and monetization of alternative assets, including insurance claims, and investments arising from disputes and distressed situations, including claims, awards and judgments relating to bankruptcy, litigation and arbitration.
