Dr. Christian Doepner is a corporate associate and a member of the Funds/Investment Management Group.

Mr. Doepner joined Debevoise in 2026. He received a Dr. iur. from the University of Freiburg in 2025. He completed his Second State Examination in 2025 and received his First State Examination from the University of Freiburg in 2020. During his legal education, he also studied at Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Seville, Spain.

Before joining Debevoise, Mr. Doepner gained extensive experience in private equity and M&A through legal trainee and research assistant positions at leading international law firms. During his legal traineeship, he was also seconded to a German embassy abroad.

Mr. Doepner is the author of "Die Registrierungsoption der Gesellschaft bürgerlichen Rechts," Duncker & Humblot (2025).

He is fluent in German, English and Spanish.
