Claudia Armestar is an international lawyer in the Litigation Department and a member of the International Dispute Resolution Group.
Ms. Armestar joined Debevoise in 2025. Ms. Armestar received an LL.M. in International Business Regulation, Litigation and Arbitration from New York University School of Law in 2025, where she was awarded the Dean’s Graduate Award, a merit-based tuition award granted to master’s students who demonstrated significant academic promise and achievement. She was the President of the NYU Latin American Arbitration Society. Ms. Armestar received her J.D. magna cum laude from Universidad del Pacifico in Peru in 2020, where she was one of the founders of the Forseti Law Review. Ms. Armestar also participated in executive education programs at University of California - Davis, Geneva Center of International Dispute Settlement, and the University of Geneva.
Before starting her practice in the United States, Ms. Armestar was an associate in the international arbitration group at a leading international firm in Peru.

Ms. Armestar is a member of the Peruvian Bar. She is a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English. Ms. Armestar is a member of ArbitralWomen.
