Craig Bowman is a retired partner. He was a member of the firm’s Finance Group. He has extensive experience across a broad range of secured financing transactions. He regularly represented private equity and other investment fund sponsors in connection with subscription credit facilities, co-investment facilities and other fund or management company financings. He also has extensive experience in leveraged acquisition finance and project and infrastructure finance transactions, particularly in Latin America.

Mr. Bowman is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Mr. Bowman was recognized as a leading banking and finance lawyer in IFLR 1000 (2014) and as a leading project finance lawyer by The Legal 500 US (2013) and Chambers Latin America (2012). He is a Director of the Lawyers Alliance for New York and an Advisory Board Member for the New York Legal Aid Society’s Community Development Project.

Mr. Bowman brought a global perspective to his work. He joined the firm’s New York office in 1992 and was a visiting lawyer at the Japanese law firm of Nishimura & Partners from 1995 to 1996. From 1997 to 1998, he was seconded to the Inter-American Development Bank. He worked in the firm’s London office from 2000 through 2005.

Mr. Bowman is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles (1985) and Columbia Law School (1992), where he was a Stone Scholar and a member of the Law Review. Mr. Bowman speaks Spanish.
