Daniel Silverman is an associate in the Litigation Department and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group.Mr. Silverman’s experience includes defending global technology companies against patent infringement claims in both trial courts and appellate courts. He has worked on cases involving smartwatches, mapping, navigation directions, voice recognition, virtual assistant and augmented reality.Mr. Silverman joined Debevoise in 2024. From 2017 to 2018, he clerked for the Hon. Kent A. Jordan of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Mr. Silverman received a J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law magna cum laude in 2017. During law school, he was a senior editor of the U.C. Irvine Law Review and student member of the Howard T. Markey Intellectual Property Inn of Court. He received an M.A. in Urban Education Studies and B.S. in Physics from Yale University. Before attending law school, Mr. Silverman taught high school physics.Mr. Silverman is a member of the Bar of California and is admitted to practice in the United States Courts of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and Third Circuit, United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of California, and United States Patent and Trademark Office.
