David Grosgold is a partner in the firm’s Financial Institutions and Insurance Practice Groups and is co-head of the Latin America Practice. His practice focuses on domestic and cross-border corporate transactions in the financial services and insurance industries, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, reinsurance and bancassurance transactions in the U.S., Latin America and Asia.

Mr. Grosgold is recognized as a leading practitioner for Insurance: Transactional & Regulatory in New York by Chambers USA (2026), where he is praised for his “strong technical knowledge and good commercial business judgment.” In prior editions clients have noted that he is “a tireless advocate and a pragmatic, capable negotiator,” and “his ability to master all facets of complex transactions is unmatched.” He is recommended for Insurance: Non-Contentious by The Legal 500 US (2026) and in The Legal 500 Latin America (2026) for his experience in Corporate and M&A, where clients have described him as “outstanding in the insurance M&A space. Mr. Grosgold received his B.A. from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2001 and his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law summa cum laude in 2005, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and served as submissions editor on the Benjamin N. Cardozo Law Review. Mr. Grosgold is a member of the New York Bar and is fluent in Spanish and Hebrew.
