Ellie Hemmings is an associate in the Corporate Department and a member of the firm’s Insurance Group. Ellie advises insurers and reinsurers on de-risking transactions in the life insurance sector, including bulk annuities, longevity swaps and funding reinsurance. She has recent experience on reinsurance matters involving complex collateral structures and international reinsurance transactions. She also has experience advising on Part VII and friendly society’s transfers and other regulatory matters.
Ms. Hemmings joined Debevoise in 2025. She graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2014 and completed the GDL and LPC at BBP University Law School.
Ms. Hemmings was admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales in 2019.
