Fatema Al-Arayedh is a counsel and a member of the firm’s Investment Management Group. Ms. Al-Arayedh’s practice focuses on advising private fund sponsors on a broad range of matters, including fund formation and operation, co-investments, upper tier structuring, GP staking and carried interest arrangements.

Ms. Al-Arayedh has also advised clients on innovative structures at the intersection of fund formation and fund finance, including establishing rated feeders, collateralized fund obligations (“CFO”), GP preferred equity arrangements and other hybrid capital and preferred equity financing structures.

In addition, Ms. Al-Arayedh has experience in project development and joint venture arrangements, project financing, acquisition financing, fund financing, and other debt transactions.

Ms. Al-Arayedh joined Debevoise in 2020. From 2012 to 2019, Ms. Al-Arayedh was a corporate associate at a leading international law firm in New York.

Ms. Al-Arayedh received her B.A. with honors from Yale University in 2007 and her J.D. in 2012 from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone scholar.

Ms. Al-Arayedh is admitted to the bar in New York. She is fluent in Arabic and English.
