Fernanda Coachman is an international lawyer in the Litigation Department and a member of the International Dispute Resolution Group. 

Ms. Coachman joined Debevoise in 2025. Prior to that, she practiced at a leading litigation firm in Brazil from 2019 to 2024. She received an LL.M. from New York University School of Law in 2025 and her LL.B. from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro in 2019.

She co-authored articles including “Considerations on Contractual Management of ESG Risks: Implications for Corporate and Directors’ Liability and the Use of Arbitration as a Means of Resolving Related Disputes” Damages, Contract and Arbitration (September, 2025) and “To What Extent are Arbitrators Bound by Judicial Precedent?” Arbitration and the Judiciary (May, 2023).

Ms. Coachman is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association. She is fluent in Portuguese and English and has reading proficiency in Spanish and French.
