David Wan is a corporate counsel based in the Hong Kong office and is a member of the firm’s Investment Funds and Investment Management Group. His practice focuses on private fund formation, co-investment, carried interest arrangements, GP-led secondaries including continuation fund transactions, and select investor-side representations.

Mr. Wan received a J.D. from the University of Hong Kong in 2013 and a B.B.A. from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2011. He is recognised for Investment Funds by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific – Greater China (2025).

Mr. Wan joined Debevoise in 2021 from a leading international law firm where he advised leading global asset managers and institutional investors in fund formation and investment-related activities. He is a member of the Bar of the State of New York and Hong Kong Law Society.
