Myanmar's reach towards foreign investors extended in March, as the National Assembly, the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, announced that Myanmar would join the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards (the New York Convention, or NYC). The NYC requires that states recognise and facilitate the enforcement of foreign arbitral awards.
