14 May 2015
View Client Update
English private companies will be required to identify anyone who has ultimate beneficial ownership of 25% or more of the company, or who otherwise exercises “significant control”.
Details of persons identified as beneficial owners (including name, address and date of birth) will be placed on a public register.
Further guidance on the meaning of “significant control” is expected in October and these requirements will come into force in early 2016.
