Organisations Carrying on Business in the United Kingdom Must Now Publish Annual “Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement”
14 September 2015
View Client Update
All commercial organisations carrying on business in the UK with global sales/turnover above £36 million – wherever incorporated - will have to publish an annual statement setting out the actions they have taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in their supply chains or business.
The slavery and human trafficking statement will have to be approved and signed at a senior level within the organization.
These requirements are expected to come into force in October 2015, when further guidance is also expected.
