From January 1, 2017, Priority Will Be Given to Russian Goods, Works and Services for Procurement by Certain Types of Legal Entities

A new governmental Decree, which grants a number of preferences to the suppliers of goods of Russian origin and Russian suppliers of works and services for procurement by, among others, state corporations, state companies, natural monopolies, state and municipal unitary enterprises and other entities with certain state participation, has been adopted on September 16, 2016 in Russia.
The new rules established by the Decree will apply starting on January 1, 2017 and are aimed at supporting the policy of import substitution and localization of production and other business processes in the Russian Federation.
