John Sullivan Baker is a law clerk in the Litigation Department.Mr. Sullivan Baker joined Debevoise in 2024. He received a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a James Kent Scholar and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. During law school, he externed in the Civil Rights Division, Voting Section, of the U.S. Department of Justice and wrote for Lawfare as a student contributor. He graduated from the ILR School at Cornell University in 2020.Mr. Sullivan Baker is the author of “The Case for Federal Deference to State Court Redistricting Rulings: Lessons from Ohio’s Districting Disaster,” 2 Fordham L.
