Jonathan M. Morris is an associate in the Litigation Department and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group.

Mr. Morris’ experience includes litigating patent, trade secret and copyright matters in fields including life sciences, marine engineering and software development.

Mr. Morris joined Debevoise in 2026. Mr. Morris received a J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2022, where he served as a managing editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property & Entertainment Law. He received a Ph.D. in Applied Science & Technology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2019 and a B.S. from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2013.

Mr. Morris’s research articles have appeared in leading scientific journals including Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and the Journal of Physical Chemistry B.

Mr. Morris is a member of the Bar of California and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for Northern District of California.
