Julie Stem is a practice manager for the Real Estate and Restructuring Groups.

From 2012 to 2020, Ms. Stem was a corporate associate with Debevoise and a member of the Investment Management Group. Her practice focused on advising sponsors of, and institutional investors in, private investment funds. She also provided regulatory and compliance advice related to the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940, and she counseled mutual fund independent directors. From 2006 to 2009, Ms. Stem worked in sales and trading at both Lehman Brothers and Barclays in New York.

Ms. Stem joined Debevoise in 2012. She received a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2012 and a B.A. from Yale University in 2006.

Ms. Stem is a member of the Bar of New York.
