Julu Beth Katticaran is an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group.

Ms. Katticaran joined Debevoise in 2021. Previously, she was a James C. Gaither Junior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment, Washington D.C., where she worked with policymakers in the U.S. and abroad on rule of law and governance issues. She also worked at MIT’s Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), where she advised senior government officials and presidential candidates across Latin America on designing and implementing evidence-based policy.

Ms. Katticaran received a J.D. from Yale Law School in 2021, where she was an editor of the Yale Journal on Regulation. She received an A.B. summa cum laude in Economics and Public Policy from Princeton University in 2015, where she was awarded the Myron T. Herrick Prize for the best departmental thesis, the R.W. Van de Velde Award for outstanding independent work, and the Class of 1924 Prize for excellence in teaching and mentorship. Ms. Katticaran is fluent in Spanish, Hindi, and Malayalam.
