Justin M. Shindo is an associate in the Litigation Department.

Mr. Shindo joined Debevoise in 2023. From 2024 to 2025, he clerked for the Hon. Carlos T. Bea of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Shindo received a J.D. magna cum laude from George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School in 2023, where he was a notes editor of the George Mason Law Review. He received a B.S. summa cum laude from the University of the Pacific in 2020.

Mr. Shindo is the author of “In Hot Pursuit of a Fleeing Misdemeanant? An Officer Must Now Undertake a Full Legal Analysis Before Acting Under Lange v. California,” 30 George Mason Law Review 1111 (2023).

Mr. Shindo is admitted to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
