- Google in a patent infringement case relating to speaker technology. Obtained a complete defense-side verdict for Google against Sonos following a jury trial in the Northern District of California.
- Waymo in a trade secret misappropriation case relating to autonomous vehicle technology. After opening statements and on the fourth day of the parties’ jury trial in the Northern District of California, the parties settled the case with Uber agreeing to give Waymo a percentage of equity in Uber valued at $245 million as well as injunctive relief.
- eBay in a breach of contract and unfair competition case regarding Amazon’s use of eBay’s messaging system to unlawfully recruit eBay sellers to the Amazon platform.
- A major Bay Area technology company in its dispute with a former employee concerning the former employee’s threat to publicly disseminate information that the employee had improperly withheld upon resignation. Obtained an injunction requiring the employee to return the improperly withheld information and prohibiting the employee from sharing it.
- Samsung and Google in a series of patent infringement cases known as the “smartphone wars.” Obtained a non-infringement verdict for several Apple patents, and for the remainder, held Apple to less than 5.5% of its requested $2.2 billion in damages.
