Linh K. Tang is an associate in the Litigation Department and a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group. Her practice includes high-stakes intellectual property and trade secret disputes in federal courts and arbitral forums.
Ms. Tang joined Debevoise in 2025. From 2024 to 2025, she clerked for the Hon. Jennifer Sung of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Ms. Tang received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she was a member of the Harvard Civil Rights–Civil Liberties Law Review and Harvard Defenders. Prior to law school, Ms. Tang was a software engineer at a leading global investment banking firm. She earned a B.A. magna cum laude from Columbia University.
Ms. Tang maintains an active pro bono practice focused on criminal defense and post-conviction matters. Her experience includes litigation concerning First Step Act time credits before the U.S. Courts of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court, habeas proceedings, and sentencing matters in federal district court. She also contributes to the firm’s Holloway Project and assists with representations arising from CJA appointments in the Northern District of California.
Ms. Tang is fluent in Vietnamese and proficient in French. She is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third and Seventh Circuits.
