Michael Bloom is an associate in the Litigation Department.

Mr. Bloom joined Debevoise in 2019. He received his J.D. cum laude from St. John’s University School of Law in 2019, where he was a senior articles editor of the St. John’s Law Review. Mr. Bloom received a B.A. summa cum laude from St. John’s University in 2014.

Mr. Bloom is a co-author of the Practising Law Institute’s 2023 edition of the “Privacy Law Answer Book.” He is also the author of “Protecting Personal Data: A Model Data Breach and Security Notification Statute,” 92 St. John’s Law Review 977 (2019) and a co-author of “California’s Age-Appropriate Design Code Act Expands Businesses’ Privacy Obligations Regarding Minors,” NYU Compliance & Enforcement (September, 2022); “Getting Ready for 2023: What Companies Can Do Now to Prepare for New Privacy Laws,” NYU Compliance & Enforcement (December, 2021); “Data Privacy and Cybersecurity: Crisis Avoidance and Management Strategies,” Latin Lawyer – The Guide to Corporate Crisis Management (December, 2021); and “Tips for Creating a Sensible Cybersecurity and AI Risk Framework for Critical Vendors,” NYU Compliance & Enforcement (February, 2021).
