Natasha McCarthy is an international counsel based in the London office. She is a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. Ms. McCarthy’s practice focuses on high-value, complex and multijurisdictional commercial litigation.

Recommended for commercial litigation by The Legal 500 UK (2024), Ms. McCarthy has a wide range of experience acting on high profile matters including mass tort and parent-company liability claims, large-scale contractual disputes, M&A disputes and shareholder/joint venture disputes. She acts for clients including multinational corporations, financial institutions and high net worth individuals across a wide range of geographies and industries.

Ms. McCarthy also has significant experience defending financial institutions in regulatory investigations and advising clients in relation to anti-money laundering and financial crime issues.

Ms. McCarthy was seconded to a large multinational corporation from April 2021 to October 2022 and to a leading bank from September 2015 to June 2016.

Ms. McCarthy joined Debevoise in 2014. Ms. McCarthy received a B.A. and LL.B. (Hons, first class) in 2006 from the University of Sydney, Australia.

Prior to joining Debevoise, Ms. McCarthy trained and practised as an associate at a magic circle firm.
