Debevoise Wins Twice at the 2015 Americas Women in Business Law Awards

Debevoise & Plimpton LLP won two awards at the fourth annual Americas Women in Business Law Awards, presented by Euromoney Legal Media Group. Partner Erica Berthou was named “Best in Investment Funds” and the firm was named “Best International Firm for Work-Life Balance.”

According to Euromoney, the 2015 awards celebrate the achievements of “women leading the field in the legal sector across the Americas” and “those firms setting the standard in terms of female-friendly work practices.”

Ms. Berthou’s practice focuses on advising sponsors of open- and closed-ended private investment funds, co-investment funds, fund of funds and separately managed accounts, covering numerous sectors and strategies, including buyout, infrastructure, energy and power, real estate, debt, distressed and credit opportunities. In addition to U.S.- and European-focused funds, Ms. Berthou has significant experience with emerging markets fund formation, covering all major emerging markets, and the establishment of offices and other firm infrastructure in such markets.
