Debevoise Partners Bruce Yannett and Helen Cantwell Join Panel on Navigating #MeToo Investigations at the 5th Annual GIR Live New York Conference

Debevoise & Plimpton partner Bruce Yannett chaired the 5th Annual GIR Live New York conference, offering opening and closing remarks, as well as moderating a panel on navigating #MeToo investigations. Partner Helen V. Cantwell joined Mr. Yannett as a panelist, bringing to the forum her extensive experience working on internal investigations and related matters.

The panel session explored how in-house counsel and private practitioners can successfully traverse the abundance of challenges #MeToo investigations often present.

Mr. Yannett is Deputy Presiding Partner of the firm and Chair of the White Collar & Regulatory Defense Practice Group. He focuses on white collar criminal defense, regulatory enforcement and internal investigations. He represents a broad range of companies, financial institutions and their executives in matters involving securities fraud, accounting fraud, foreign bribery, cybersecurity, insider trading and money laundering.

Ms. Cantwell is a litigation partner with extensive trial experience. Her practice focuses on white collar criminal defense, regulatory enforcement actions and internal investigations. She represents a wide range of individuals, companies, schools and nonprofits, and she frequently advises clients on their compliance obligations.
