Debevoise & Plimpton partner Rebecca F. Silberstein has been appointed Chair of the New York City Bar Association’s Private Investment Funds Committee and counsel Jennifer Graff has been named Secretary.
The New York City Bar Association’s Private Investment Funds Committee addresses issues affecting private funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds and venture capital funds, and their sponsors. Additionally, the committee regularly participates in legislative and rulemaking processes through the submission of comment letters and other activities.
With these appointments, Ms. Silberstein and Ms. Graff join a number of their fellow Debevoise colleagues who hold, or have held, prominent leadership positions in bar associations and other professional organizations, upholding the firm’s longstanding commitment to public service and thought leadership.
Ms. Silberstein, who has been practicing for 25 years, is a corporate partner in the Investment Management Group and is Co-Head of the firm’s Private Equity Group. Her practice focuses on advising investment banks, financial institutions and boutique firms as sponsors of global private equity, leveraged buyout, energy and infrastructure, banking and financial services, mezzanine, credit and distressed debt funds and bespoke fund products and separate accounts. Ms. Graff is a counsel based in the New York office and a member of the firm’s Funds/Investment Management Group. Her practice focuses on the formation, management and organization of private investment funds.
