Two Debevoise & Plimpton lawyers, Luke Dembosky and Robert Maddox, have been named to International Bar Association (IBA) cyber and privacy leadership roles.
Mr. Dembosky, Co-Chair of the firm’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy practice and a member of the White Collar & Regulatory Defense Group, has been appointed Co-Head of the IBA’s Cybercrime Subcommittee. Mr. Maddox, an associate in the firm’s White Collar & Regulatory Defense and International Dispute Resolution Groups, has been named to the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) and IBA Joint Task Force on Data Protection in International Arbitration Proceedings.
The Task Force’s work product will be a Guide to Data Protection in International Arbitration Proceedings, which will provide practical guidance on the potential impact of data protection principles, in particular the GDPR, on international arbitration proceedings.
