Debevoise Partner Luke Dembosky Appointed to the New York State Cyber Security Advisory Board by Governor Cuomo

Debevoise & Plimpton LLP announces that partner Luke Dembosky has been appointed to the New York State Cyber Security Advisory Board by Governor Andrew Cuomo. Created in 2013, the Cyber Security Advisory Board ensures the State maintains a cutting-edge strategy to keep New Yorkers safe from cyber threats. The Board is composed of world-renowned cyber security experts who advise the administration and make recommendations for protecting the state's critical infrastructure and information systems. Ahead of the 2020 elections, Governor Cuomo has directed the Board to assess the threats to the security and integrity of New York’s elections and recommend steps to bolster election security. One of five new Cyber Security Advisory Board members, Mr. Dembosky will join the Board in strengthening existing cyber security protections and in working to further protect New York’s electoral process against the continued threat of foreign interference.

Mr. Dembosky is a cybersecurity and litigation partner based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. He is co-chair of the firm’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy practice and a member of the White Collar & Regulatory Defense Group. His practice focuses on cybersecurity incident preparation and response, internal investigations, civil litigation and regulatory defense, as well as national security issues.
