Debevoise partner Patricia Volhard has been named to the board of the BVK, the German private equity association, and will also head the BVK’s Legal Committee.
The BVK is the voice and face of the private equity industry in Germany. It has 300 members, around 200 of whom are investment companies that invest in German companies with venture capital, growth financing or as part of buy-outs. The BVK also represents institutional investors, consulting companies, service providers and other institutions that work with investment companies. The portfolio companies of BVK members employ 1.2 million people.
