London-based partner Samantha J. Rowe has again been named in The Lawyer magazine’s annual Hot 100 list, which recognizes the profession’s most innovative and inspirational lawyers.

It’s the second time Ms. Rowe has been named to the list, which includes lawyers from in-house, private practice and the bar, focusing on those who are “who have shaped the profession over the past 12 months”.

In this year’s list, The Lawyer explored Ms. Rowe’s “varied public international law practice.” It highlighted her work in an ICC arbitration which “has transformed the oil and gas landscape”, as well as in a landmark ICJ opinion which “requires states to prevent significant harm to the climate and the environment.”

Ms. Rowe is a partner in the International Dispute Resolution Group whose practice focuses on international arbitration and public international law, and a member of the firm’s ESG leadership team. Ms. Rowe has represented private clients and States across multiple jurisdictions in arbitrations and before international courts and tribunals. She has experience across a broad range of industries and sectors, including energy, mining, construction, financial services and pharmaceuticals. She advises clients on a broad range of international law and evolving ESG issues.
