30 April 2026

Debevoise & Plimpton LLP partners Luke Dembosky, Avi Gesser, Erez Liebermann, Robert Maddox and Jim Pastore have been named to Cybersecurity Docket’s “Incident Response Elite List” for 2026. With five lawyers recognized on this year’s list, Debevoise is tied for the most of any firm, underscoring the depth of its incident response bench and market-leading transatlantic capabilities.

The list recognizes the “best data breach response lawyers in the business” who not only have the right credentials and experience to manage a data breach response but are critical to have on speed-dial when the inevitable data breach occurs. The list is developed through nominations, input from senior lawyers and other professionals in the field, and Cybersecurity Docket’s own research.

Debevoise’s Data Strategy & Security Group is known for its ability to resolve the most complex, high-stakes, technical cyber investigations across the U.S., U.K. and Europe, with particular strength in working in the classified space and alongside law enforcement. Led by former senior U.S. Department of Justice attorneys, the group advises clients on their most critical cybersecurity, data and emerging technology challenges. Its capabilities span AI implementation, risk and regulatory obligations, internal and whistleblower investigations involving cybersecurity regulatory compliance, risk assessments and M&A diligence, and data breach and business email compromise litigation. As cybersecurity and AI rapidly converge, the group’s fully integrated capabilities help clients address today’s most sophisticated data, technology and regulatory risks.
