Paul Wilson is a retired Debevoise partner whose practice over 35 years has included representing clients in mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, other complex corporate transactions and international corporate matters, as well as providing ongoing corporate counseling.  He was principal counsel to Chrysler Corporation in its $40 billion business combination with Daimler-Benz, the largest industrial and cross-border merger completed at the time.  Mr. Wilson also headed the firm’s work for Delta Air Lines in 2004 and 2006-2007, and for American Airlines in 2003.  He has also worked on transactions involving Europe, Latin America and Asia.

Mr. Wilson has played a significant role in building one of the world’s leading law firms, serving as Debevoise’s Deputy Presiding Partner from 1993 to 1998, and as Chief Financial Officer, having previously held that position from 1980 to 1988 and from 1991 to 1993.  Mr. Wilson joined Debevoise in 1968 and became a partner in 1976.

Mr. Wilson is a member of the Association of the Bar of The City of New York and served on its Securities Regulation Committee from 1985 to 1988. He is also a member of the American Bar Association.
