Roshni Chakraborty is an associate in the Litigation Department.
Ms. Chakraborty joined Debevoise in 2025. She received a J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School in 2025, where she was a Chayes Fellow and teaching fellow for numerous courses in political philosophy. She also received the Richard R. Baxter Award for Best Respondent Memorial in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. She received an A.B. magna cum laude with Highest Honors from Harvard College in 2022, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Ms. Chakraborty has authored or co-authored several articles. Her recent publications include “Forum non conveniens and the New York Convention”, Jus Mundi (2025), “How to Protect the Orphaned Children Left Behind by India’s Second Wave,” Washington Post (2021), and “Fault Lines of Refugee Exclusion: Statelessness, Gender, and COVID-19 in South Asia,” Harvard Health and Human Rights Journal (2021).
Ms. Chakraborty is fluent in Hindi and Bengali, and has intermediate proficiency in Russian.
