Sergej Bräuer is an international counsel in the firm’s Frankfurt office and a member of the Antitrust & Competition Group. Prior to joining Debevoise he worked for renowned international law firms in Frankfurt, Stuttgart, and London.

Mr. Bräuer advises clients on the full spectrum of antitrust and competition matters as well as foreign direct investments. He has deep experience in cartel damages cases and complex merger control proceedings, including coordination of worldwide merger control filings and approvals.

In addition, his particular focus lies on cartel investigations and proceedings, compliance management as well as complex distribution systems and cooperation agreements.

He is recommended for antitrust law by The Legal 500 Germany (2022).

Mr. Bräuer is admitted as Rechtsanwalt in Germany. He is a native speaker of German and Russian and fluent in English and Spanish.

Beyond his client work, Mr. Bräuer is a member of various associations, inter alia the Association for the Study of Antitrust Law (Studienvereinigung Kartellrecht e.V.), the Kartellrechtsforum Frankfurt e.V., the German-British Lawyers’ Association (DBJV), and Competition Litigation Forum.
