Steven Ostner is a retired partner.

Mr. Ostner is the author of “Spinoffs Discover New Life, Energized Shareholders Seek Enhanced Value,” New York Law Journal (October, 1993). He is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the American Bar Association. Mr. Ostner is a contributing author of The Private Equity Primer: The Best of the Debevoise & Plimpton Private Equity Report and the Debevoise & Plimpton Private Equity Report.

Mr. Ostner joined Debevoise in 1978 and became a partner in 1987. He received his B.A. from Amherst College in 1974 and his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1978.
