Takuma Kanasaki is an international associate and a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group.

Mr. Kanasaki joined Debevoise in 2026. He received an LL.M. and the Business Law Certificate from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2026. He received his J.D. from the University of Tokyo School of Law in 2017 and his LL.B. from the University of Tokyo in 2015. Before joining Debevoise, Mr. Kanasaki was an associate in the corporate and M&A group at a leading law firm in Japan from 2018 to 2025.

Mr. Kanasaki is a co-author of the Japan chapter of “Lexology In-Depth: Corporate Governance,” Law Business Research (2024 and 2025).

Mr. Kanasaki is admitted to the bar in Japan. He is a native Japanese speaker and is fluent in English.
