Thamanna Hussain is an associate in the firm’s White Collar & Regulatory Defense Group. Her practice focuses on regulatory enforcement actions and sensitive internal investigations for a wide variety of corporations, financial institutions and non-profits. 

Ms. Hussain joined Debevoise in 2019. Ms. Hussain received her J.D. cum laude from New York Law School in 2019, where she received the Alexander D. Forger Award for distinguished service to the profession. She was a staff editor of the New York Law School Law Review, a John Marshall Harlan Scholar and an affiliate of the Innovation Center for Law and Technology. She received her B.A. magna cum laude from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2016.

Ms. Hussain is fluent in Bengali and Hindi. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. She also currently serves as President of the Muslim Bar Association of New York.
