Alexa Busser Lopez is an associate in the Litigation Department focused on white collar and regulatory defense. She represents a wide variety of institutional and individual clients in investigations by the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, and other governmental entities. Ms. Lopez also has experience conducting sensitive investigations of alleged misconduct.

Ms. Lopez also has a robust pro bono practice, representing asylum seekers, criminal defendants, and plaintiffs in excessive force actions and impact litigation cases.

Ms. Lopez joined Debevoise in 2020. She received a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2020. At Columbia, she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, a notes editor of the Journal of Transnational Law, and a coach for the Immigration Moot Court. Ms. Lopez also received an LL.M. from the University of Amsterdam in 2020 and a B.A. from Colby College in 2017.
