Amy C. Zimmerman is an associate in the Litigation Department.

Ms. Zimmerman joined Debevoise in 2019. She served as a law clerk for the Hon. Gerard E. Lynch, Second Circuit Court of Appeals, from 2018 to 2019. Ms. Zimmerman received her J.D. magna cum laude from the New York University School of Law in 2017, where she was a Florence Allen Scholar, a member of the Order of the Coif, and a winner of the Vanderbilt Medal. She was an executive editor of the New York University Law Review and a fellow for the Center for Administration of Criminal Justice. Ms. Zimmerman received her B.A. with distinction from Yale University in 1994.

Prior to law school, Ms. Zimmerman worked extensively with LGBT groups on same-sex marriage rights in both New York and Massachusetts, and served as the Chair of the Board of the Little Red School House and Elisabeth Irwin High School.
