Andrew G. Jamieson is a corporate partner in the firm’s Financial Institutions and Insurance Groups. His practice focuses on advising private equity firms and corporate clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, reinsurance transactions and other complex transactions in the insurance industry.

Mr. Jamieson is ranked as a leading lawyer for Insurance: Transactional & Regulatory by Chambers USA (2025), where he is described as having “very strong legal acumen.” He is also recommended by The Legal 500 US (2025) where clients say he is an “outstanding partner.”

Mr. Jamieson joined Debevoise in 2011. Mr. Jamieson received a J.D. from New York University School of Law cum laude in 2011. He was an executive editor of the NYU Journal of Law and Business and was named a McKay Scholar in 2010. He received a B.A. cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006.
