Andrew G. Jamieson is a corporate partner in the firm’s Financial Institutions, Insurance and Asset Management Groups. His practice focuses on advising private equity firms, corporate clients, asset managers, insurers and other financial institutions in connection with mergers and acquisitions and other complex transactions.
Mr. Jamieson is ranked as a leading lawyer for Insurance: Transactional & Regulatory by Chambers USA (2025), where he is described as having “very strong legal acumen.” He is also recommended by The Legal 500 US (2025) where clients say he is an “outstanding partner.”
Mr. Jamieson is on the editorial board of Debevoise’s MarketCheck, a periodic M&A report. He is also a member of the team that authored the 2025 update of “Insurance and Investment Management M&A Deskbook,” published by Practising Law Institute.
Mr. Jamieson joined Debevoise in 2011. He received a J.D. cum laude from New York University School of Law in 2011, where he was an executive editor of the NYU Journal of Law and Business and was named a McKay Scholar in 2010. Mr. Jamieson received a B.A. cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006.
