Ann Stillman is an associate based in the New York office and a member of the firm’s Finance Group. Her practice focuses on fund finance, including both borrower and lender side representations for sponsors, investment managers, insurance companies and banks. Ms. Stillman has experience with a wide range of fund finance transactions and other alternative capital transactions, including PE and credit fund NAV facilities, secondaries NAV facilities and subscription credit facilities, as well as transactions at the intersection of structured finance and fund finance such as rated feeders and collateralized fund obligations.
Ms. Stillman has been recognized as a Rising Star by the Fund Finance Association (2025). Her publications include “The Secondaries Market: Financing Trends,” Secondary Link (May, 2025).
Ms. Stillman first joined Debevoise in 2014. From 2016 to 2024, she was a senior transactions counsel at a workspace company in New York and later, the general counsel of a venture capital firm based in London. She rejoined the firm in 2024. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Stillman worked for a leading Irish law firm in Dublin, Ireland.
Ms. Stillman received an LL.M from Columbia Law School in 2014, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She received a B.A. (Hons.) with First Class Honors in Business and Economics from Trinity College Dublin in 2008.
Ms. Stillman is a member of the Bar of the State of New York and is admitted to practice in Ireland and England and Wales. She is fluent in Spanish and French.
