Brita M. Siepker is a corporate counsel and a member of the firm’s Financial Institutions Group. Her practice focuses on domestic and cross-border corporate transactions in the financial services and insurance industries.

Ms. Siepker rejoined Debevoise in 2020. From 2006 to 2015, she was a member of the firm's Mergers & Acquisitions, Finance and Energy and Natural Resources Groups. From June 2010 to June 2011, Ms. Siepker was seconded to the legal division of a Japanese conglomerate in Tokyo, Japan, where she participated in acquisitions, joint ventures and financings in North and South America. From 2005 to 2006, Ms. Siepker served as a law clerk to the Hon. Alvin K. Hellerstein of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Ms. Siepker received a J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2005, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and served as managing editor of the Columbia Law Review. She received her B.S. and B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Illinois in 2000.

Ms. Siepker is a member of the Bar of the State of New York. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
