Christine Shu Gilleland is a corporate international counsel and a member of the firm’s Finance Group.

Her practice focuses on advising clients on a range of financing transactions, including acquisition and leveraged financings, and structured and fund financings. She is recommended for Fund Finance in The Legal 500 UK (2024), where she is described as “sharp, helpful and very user-friendly.”

Ms. Gilleland joined Debevoise in 2014. Ms. Gilleland received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2014, where she was the managing editor of production for the Virginia Journal of International Law and an editor for the Virginia Tax Review. She received a B.A. summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Colby College in 2009.
